the funny thing about life is that somehow, the lives of you and others can overlap in a split second and impact is only felt long after. it is the most amazing thing. it can also be the most tragic thing. every single decision in your life leads you to somewhere, just like the simultaneous decisions of others bring them elsewhere. perhaps to you. lives collide. people collide. as a result of decisions they don't think much of before making them. people are brought together, people are separated. hearts rejoice. hearts break.

the most melancholic thing of all is when you think your life collide with that of another, when everything seems good and falls into place, then you realized that no matter how good the fit, it just doesn't fit. that's not how things will be or can be.

"it's like meeting the man of your dreams, and then meeting his beautiful wife."

when lives collide and overlap. when you wish perhaps you appeared earlier. when you wish for mutuality. perhaps the only thing you can do is believe that everything happens for a reason. you'll feel better that way. hopefully. but the fact remains. the truth hurts. the truth that hurts the most is one that breaks hearts.
